1. What We Do

FreelanceTrust is a Chrome extension that displays a Trust Score widget on Upwork and Fiverr freelancer profile pages. It reads publicly visible information already shown on the page to calculate a score.

2. Data We Do NOT Collect

We do not collect, store, or share:

• Personal identification information
• Browsing history or visited URLs
• Freelancer profile data you view
• Payment or financial information
• Any analytics or usage data

3. Local Storage

The extension uses your browser's localStorage only to store a daily counter (how many profiles you've checked today). This data:

• Never leaves your device
• Is never sent to any server
• Resets automatically every day
• Can be cleared by uninstalling the extension

4. Permissions Explained

• activeTab — to detect if you're on an Upwork or Fiverr profile page
• storage — to save the daily check counter locally in your browser
• upwork.com, fiverr.com — to read publicly visible profile data on those pages

5. Third-Party Services

The extension does not communicate with any third-party servers or APIs. No data is sent anywhere.

6. Children's Privacy

FreelanceTrust is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect any information from children.

7. Changes to This Policy

If we update this policy, we will update the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the extension means you accept any changes.
